Damsel In Distress Rescued By Knight In RELIABLE Armor "Hurricane Sandy" caused unimaginable devastation and sadness. I was one of the lucky people with a part of my house still remaining with a small window of time to return to gather the most important belongings. I immediately placed a call to George Vandelaar at Reliable Van & Storage an Agent of Allied Van Lines, who I prayed would pick up the phone. I was so relieved to hear his voice on the other end of the line. George was there for me AGAIN. You see George had recently moved me out and back into my primary residence on the New Jersey Shore a few months before Hurricane Sandy hit after a major renovation. I now needed him to quickly pack and orchestrate the transportation of my remaining belongings to a safe place. George not only moved mountains with his team to help me, but he was very empathic and positive. He went well above and beyond what would be expected of a mover. But then again George and the Reliable team are so much more than movers...they are real people with big hearts! I hope to be able to return to my home in 9 to 12 months once the services are restored. You can bet I will be calling George, my knight in Reliable armor for that!!!"
Staten Island Moving & Storage Review
I recently had a great moving experience with Allied - Reliable Van and Storage. The salesman that initially came to my house to give me an estimate was professional and explained the whole process. His estimate was the most realistic out of the other nationwide moving company's estimates. One under estimated by 2,000 lbs, another did not take the time to explain the whole process, and the third was making suggesting to not take some of my furniture. I found all three companies to be very unprofessional. Once I signed with Reliable I was immediately contacted by the relocation coordinator. She made sure that I was satisfied through the whole process. She told me how I could be set up with free boxes and packing materials. I appreciated this offer because boxes can be very expensive. My scheduled packing and loading day happened to be on the day that Sandy was to hit NJ and NY. The driver called me a few days before and offered to come in the day before the storm and do all of the packing and loading so that I could get out of NY before the storm. I absolutely appreciated his recommendation because I didn't want to get stuck in NY during the storm. The driver and his moving team went out of their way to accommodate me and my situation. The driver and his moving team worked as professionals, a well organized team, and very polite. They were excellent from the packing and loading day to the delivery day. The guys who moved my wife's furniture were top notch and very professional. All of the items were either boxed or wrapped in blankets. when they arrived in Lakewood, they wre very careful not to dirty our rugs and put together everything that required it.

Let me begin by saying I am a control freak in my own space. During the entire process of my move everyone with Reliable fully understood my needs, concerns and need to double check. I found myself wasting my time with my checking because everything was already taken care of. On moving day it was obvious in about 30 minutes that I could go to my room and watch a movie. Do not call anyone else, no need. Thank you to my entire team of professionals.

To start, I would like to commend Allied on their exceptional customer service and their follow through to the last detail. It all began with a phone call to George (the estimator at Allied). His exceptional knowledge and experience in the industry was priceless. My wife and I received a spot on estimate from George with the personal touch to match. He was kind enough to deliver high quality packing boxes directly to our home with the utmost enthusiasm. Thanks George. After that everything went like clockwork. Our moving coordinator, Gina, ensured everything was set and ready for our move on time and without incident. On our moving day, our main driver Rodney directed his crew perfectly on time and without a hitch. This type of teamwork is rare in any industry and as far as our move was concerned it was priceless. It took all the stress away from my wife and I. We had the pleasure of dealing with Rodney and his crew upon delivery as well (from NJ to FL that is to be noted). Needless to say everything went off without a hitch and we all kicked back with a few victory pizzas to celebrate a perfect move! I had to move my elderly mother, who is on a fixed income living in NYC to Southern Virginia so that she would be closer to family. While there are a few places a bit cheaper than Reliable, they did meet our desired price range. More importantly, their service and friendly staff met our demands (this was a short notice move) and kept us informed every step of the way. Being in the military, I have used movers a number of times and Reliable is a top notch company. No hidden fees, a team of people to help you through the process (I had 3 people in the office working to get my mother's stuff to her new home) and excellent on-site staff to wrap and carry everything. If you have a move and want it done right the first time with no hassles, there isn't a better company in the tri-state area.
